Show Off Your Spooktacular Halloween Décor (starts)

The air is getting crisp, the leaves are turning, and we at Washington Township Recreation are officially calling on all local ghouls, ghosts, and creative homeowners to show off their Halloween decorating talents.

Beginning September 29th,residents who have transformed their yards and porches into festive haunts can submit their homes to be featured in recreation’s official social media showcase. Whether your home a home features a charming pumpkin display, a family-friendly autumn wonderland, or a spine-chilling graveyard scene, we want to celebrate the hard work and community spirit.  Our township has some of the most creative residents around, and this initiative is a fun, easy way to bring neighbors together, whether they are decorating their own homes or driving around to enjoy everyone else's hard work.

To join the festive showcase,residents simply need to snap a high-quality photo of their decorated home and send it along with their address to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. The deadline is strictly October 29th at 12:00 PM (noon), and no late entries will be accepted by our resident goblins! All photos will go live on our website on October 30th, and submissions will be posted regularly throughout October on our official recreation Facebook page -facebook.com/WashingtonMCNJRec.

We encourage neighbors to use the shared addresses to plan their own festive evening drives to admire the local displays and enjoy the community's holiday spirit.
